| The house and stables | |||
|
The house here at La Grande Connais was built in two phases. The original stable was built sometime before 1769 and the main house around 1850. Today the stable has been converted into a separate unit and is connected to the main house by adjoining doors upstairs and down. The property has all the conveniences required for modern life but maintains a great amount of original character. |

The Garden |
Outside The house sits in an acre and a half of open, flat garden overlooking fields of grazing cows and distant farms. It is often silent except for the noise of the birds and an occasional tractor. It is easy to relax and find God’s peace here. The large garden is also an ideal spot for children and youth to let off steam and groups to enjoy meals outside or a BBQ using the outside BBQ cooking house. |
||
| Dayroom There is a large day/meeting room with french doors looking out across the garden to the fields beyond. The dayroom is a place where groups can meet, play music, worship, dance or just enjoy each others company. Please let us know what your group needs in the dayroom and we will try provide it. |
